Tubing head is a critical wellhead equipment for oil and gas production, typically a large cross with flanges at both ends, installed on the casing head flange to suspend the tubing string and seal the annular space between the tubing string and the casing. It consists of the tubing head spool and tubing hanger.

The tubing head serves three core functions: suspending the tubing string in the well; sealing the annulus between the tubing and casing; and providing transition for the casing head below and the Christmas tree above. The two side ports on the four-way body of the tubing head enable operations such as casing injection and well washing.
The tubing hanger, a key component of the tubing head, is designed to support the tubing string and seal the annular space between the tubing and casing. It adopts a gravity-sealing structure, where the tubing hanger is seated into the cone of the tubing head spool using the weight of the tubing string, ensuring reliable sealing, easy operation, fast wellhead connection and high safety. This design is widely used in medium-deep wells and conventional wells.
