Mud Gas Separator: Critical Equipment for Drilling Fluid Degassing & Well Control
Gas-cut drilling fluid enters the separator through the inlet pipeline and impacts baffles at high velocity, breaking down and releasing entrained gas bubbles. As the fluid flows over metal surfaces, turbulence further separates bubbles, which are then discharged through the vent line for recovery or flaring. The degassed drilling fluid settles at the bottom of the tank and exits through the liquid outlet to the drilling fluid purification system for further treatment.
Available in sizes from φ600 to φ1400 and working pressures from 0.8MPa to 4.0MPa, with baffled or spiral plate separation types, our separators offer high gas and liquid handling capacities to meet diverse drilling well control requirements.
